I wrote to Seth Godin last week and received a reply within 12 hours of sending it out. His two line response gave me more joy than anything else has in a long time but it also made me want to kick myself and go – but of course!
He said – ‘there’s no secret simply do it before you do the other things’.
Now even this takes a fair bit of discipline and if it were easy, everyone would have accomplished everything they want in life. Seth’s response reminded me that no matter how many tips and tricks in the book, at the end of the day, you just need to get to your desk and do the job. There’s no real shortcut.
So while I am not Seth Godin, I can maybe attempt a post every alternate day all through June. What say?

I totally agree! I have a very busy inbox and manage it really well. I love it when someone gets to the point and keeps it short and sweet. Email trails can also be a real bother when you do not need to be CC’d in….. think carefully before doing this is always my advice.
