On 31st January, I took up a challenge with my colleagues. Keeping in trend with fake commutes, the focus on health and spirit of teamwork, we took up a challenge to ‘walk 10,000 steps every single day in February’. Thankfully, February also happens to be the shortest month of the year, hence pushing up our … Continue reading 31 day challenge: 10k steps

31 day challenge: Create
This website witnessed its quietest ever period in the second half of December. Not that I had forgotten about it–I never do. However, I recognized the need to take a guilt-free break. Thus, even though I had some content for the end of the year, I disappeared without warning with the decision to return refreshed … Continue reading 31 day challenge: Create
31 day challenge: Eat the frog
It’s been a little over a month since I moved. Ever since I’ve landed, I’ve been making excuses for not investing 100% of my ‘work’ energy reserve into work. Once particular about crossing everything off my to-do list, I now feel strangely comfortable with tasks spilling from one day on to another. I told myself … Continue reading 31 day challenge: Eat the frog
31 day challenge: Sunday Screen time
I failed miserably at the last 31-day challenge. But you already knew that, didn’t you? The last 31 days were my last days in the country – the exact amount of time I had to wrap up everything in my life, move across the seven seas (or maybe just three) and start again. It wasn’t … Continue reading 31 day challenge: Sunday Screen time
31 day challenge: Focus on Me
Yesterday I came across a meme that read, ‘the pandemic has been going on for so long that I got into shape and got back out of it.’ I let out an instant gasp as it echoed my exact sentiment. Not only have I slipped out of all good habits I’d formed in the initial … Continue reading 31 day challenge: Focus on Me
31 Day Challenge: Hit Start
When the lockdown began, I embraced it with open arms determined to use the opportunity to get laser focused on some areas in life while I hit pause on the rest. This blog fell into the bucket of laser focus along with a few pet interests. However simultaneously, half a dozen life priorities landed into … Continue reading 31 Day Challenge: Hit Start
Dopamine Fasting Reconsidered
It took five minutes of rain and four hours of living without the internet to change my mind about dopamine fasting. Within two hours of no internet connectivity, I found myself strolling into the nearest store and walking out with a bag full of junk food. Over the next one hour, I ate my feelings … Continue reading Dopamine Fasting Reconsidered
31 day challenge: Build a Brand
If there was ever a debate on whether performance is the only factor for success, I am sure it would be rather one sided. There are a number of factors that determine how quickly a person rises up the ladder including the very controversial ‘flattery’. One such important factor is having a distinct personal brand … Continue reading 31 day challenge: Build a Brand
31 day Challenge: Lockdown Lessons
The news says that countries are beginning to relax lockdown guidelines and while the debate on whether this is the right move continues to rage, lockdown as we know it may change. Before it does, (though honestly I think we will likely learn that it was a wrong move and we’ll be locked back indoors … Continue reading 31 day Challenge: Lockdown Lessons
31 day challenge: Digital cleanse
It has been just a week and surprising things have begun to happen. I get bored, pick up my phone and realize that it can no longer entertain me. My gaze then falls on the book I have been neglecting, the little keyboard I haven’t played in a while and the clothes that need fixing. Suddenly, I am writing more, my house is cleaner; I have read more pages than I have in a long time, and long pending tasks seem to vanish off the to-do list.
